LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) heard the petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Azadi March in which it was pleaded to stop the long march. Lahore High Court sought legislative assistance or cooperation from the federal and provincial governments on the plea, being made in order to stop PTI’s Azadi March. Mr Kamran from Faisalabad has filed a petition in which he has pleaded to stop Imran Khan’s Azadi March.
Seeking legislative assistance on the plea, Justice Khalid Mehmood of the Lahore High Court asked the federal and provincial governments whether the court had powers to interfere in such matters. The court directed the federal and provincial law officers to assist the court in this case the next day.
On the other hand, Law Minister of Punjab Mr Rana Mashood has said that Imran Khan will be weeping of rigging unless he becomes the Prime Minister of Pakistan, adding that Chauhadry brothers have lost their senses for the greediness of getting powers. He further said that Dr Tahirul Qadri’s address could not be called the address of a sensible person and those playing politics of allegations would soon get senses.
Rana Mashood said that Chauhadry brothers after the defeat in elections were on the mercy of people like Qadri and after Tahirul Qadri; they would search or find a new lord. He added that the so-called Azadi March and the revolution would soon reach an end, Imran Khan would be weeping of the rigging in the elections. He further said that we would not allow anybody to sabotage democratic system on the basis of powers.
