Karachi: The Internship program for the Universities of Pakistan titled ‘Global and Public Health Internship Program’ will commence from 8 July to 2 August, 2012 at Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar. It is sponsored by Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation in collaboration with JS Bank.
The program will introduce participants to basic information on global and public health, health care delivery, research and clinical topics. The program related expenses will be incurred by Mahvash and Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation. These expenses relate to accommodation, airfare, local travel, airport taxes, travel insurance, visa fee and incidental expenses.
The program will broadly cover the following:
- Public health field experience
- Training in cultural competence
- Meeting with key personnel in the publiv health arena and much more
This is a unique opportunity for medical students in Pakistan to add to their knowledge and skills base through a fully paid scholarship for the internship program at one of the world’s leading universities.
