MULTAN: The terrorists associated with a banned outfit, Ghulam Shabbir and Ahmed alias Sheshnag have been hanged today in Multan. Both the terrorists were accused of killing 5 persons including DSP. Tight security arrangements were made on this occasion.
Ahmed Ali alias Sheshnag had fired on a shop and killed 3 persons on January 7th, 1998. The shop was situated at the railway road. The second culprit, Ghulam Shabbir belonged to Tulamba, the area of Khanewal. He had killed DSP Nawaz Khan and his driver in the year 2000.
The anti-terrorism court had made a verdict that both the culprits should be hanged whereas the Supreme Court of Pakistan also maintained the sentence of the culprits. Also, the president of Pakistan had rejected the culprits’ appeal of clemency and they were hanged today in Multan.
The families of both the culprits had met the culprits last time yesterday. On the occasion of execution, tight security arrangements were made. It is pertinent to mention here that after the attack on Army Public School in Peshawar, terrorists are being hanged fast in order to overcome the terrorism.
