Former Olympian Hanif Khan Appointed As Hockey Team New Coach

hanif khan new coach Pakistan hockeyLahore: In pursuit of framing new team management for Pakistan Hockey team, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has reassigned former Olympian Hanif Khan to the post of Head Coach for National Men’s hockey team. The Federation announced the new appointement in a press statement released here on Wednesday.

Earlier, it was reported that Hanif Khan will be given the responsitbility to function as a member of the coaching panel and work under Akhtar along with Khawaja Junaid and former goalkeeper Ahmed Alam.

Newly appointed coach, Hanif Khan was born in 1959 in Karachi. He was regarded as one of the most lethal Hockey players during his time and won a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and a bronze medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
