Karachi: The law and order situation continues to get worsen as even senior government officials are not left away with being affected of the deteriorating situation in the metropolis. The former income tax commissioner Mumtaz Sheikh has now been killed in Defence Phase 4 by few unidentified armed men, police officials told.
According to the details, the violent incident, killing the member of Sindh Board of Revenue, occurred Thursday morning when the criminals sprayed bullets at him while he was on his way to office from his residence in Defence.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot after the culprits fled the scene, the area has been cordoned off. The rescue teams have shifted the dead body to Jinnah Post graduate medical hospital for post medico-legal formalities.
