Islamabad: The security personnel deployed at the entry gate of Chaklala Air base opened fire at the car of an Air Force officer when his car did not stopped at the entry gate for security check on Friday, three bullets hit the car, smashing the back screen in result, local newspaper reported.
As the news spread further, the base commander including all other officers arrived at the spot and took the attacked car and the security staff inside the base.
While commenting on the incident, the spokesman of Pakistan Air Force stated that the security staff has been granted free hand from the Air force headquarters to take every possible aggressive step if any staff or officer do not show his identity on entry, in order to protect the military sites from mishap.
According to the spokesman, the attacked car and officer belongs to Air Force but not posted at Chaklala. Meanwhile, senior officials have ordered board of Inquiry in this regard.
