Karachi: More than 50% areas of Karachi faced electricity shortage on late night of 28 May. Although load shedding is a common problem in metropolitan city, this massive unscheduled load shedding shocked citizens.
After hours of wait, electricity in some areas has been restored while few areas are still in dark. According to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), it was a technical fault. Almost fourteen Grid Stations were faced this error around 1:30 am.
The major areas which were suffered due to this fault were Gulshan e Iqbal, Nazimabad, Gulshan e Maymar, FB Area, Karimabad, Gulistan e Jauhar and other surrounding areas.
