Abbottabad: Earthquake of magnitude 4.9 jolted Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Abbottabad and different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) today (3rd March). The exact center of the Earthquake is yet to be ascertained, Pakistan Meteorological Department informed.
The quake was felt in the afternoon between 11am-12pm in the different cities of KPK including Abbottabad which is believed to be the epicenter of the quake. The shocks were also felt in its adjoining areas.
According to the Meteorological Department the exact intensity of the earthquake was fairly low and said to be 4.9 on the Richter scale.
The locals were astounded by a wave of sudden shock and came out of their houses, shops and offices while no casualties or damage news have been reported till now from any of the above mentioned areas.
