President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed a message to United States that democracy always support dialogue in case of clash,adding that the recent verbal assaults by a section of the United States government has not only helped terrorists but also affected the war against terrorism.
The president, in his recent article published in “The Washington Post” by the name of “Talk to, not at, Pakistan”, stressed the need for resumption of serious dialogue between the two countries.
The president also criticized on the aid given to Pakistan that is less than the aid given to Afghanistan and cleared that if Pakistan is talking about aid, it means trade not aid.
The president said that the allegations are great blow for the efforts on war against terrorism and Pak-US strategic interests.
The president vowed that Pakistan cannot allow using religion as tool for militancy, adding that US itself holding dialogues with terrorists, while leveling allegations on Pakistan for aid terrorists.
He said that the US allegations gave benefits to terrorists, while relations between both countries worse.
He said that no efforts were made to increase the capability of Pakistan in war against terrorism, adding that US and its allies could not stop the smuggling of narcotics from Afghanistan even after passing ten years, adding that both countries should start serious dialogue and eliminate the mistakes, adding that the Pakistanis masses questions weather the lives of the Pakistanis are so cheaper that they are not appreciated by US.
