Laoya is a Chinese village which hosts 112 unmarried men. These men who age between 30-55 are still bachelors because they cannot find women in their village which compromises men mostly.
Communist Party of China introduced one child policy to control the growing Chinese population, but it lead to abortions to give birth only to male children. People especially in rural areas preferred boys because they believed they will help them in their old age.
Most of the women from the village are in cities where they earn far better than in the village, usually they settle in city after finding a better settled husband. Many men from this village also got married in the city.
Many men from the village tried to get women from outside their village but they failed. The village does not have access to proper roads and the dirt track takes more than one hour to reach the main town.
