Fake currency notes are a major problem for every government against which they take steps to ensure the trust on the national currency.
Currently fake currency of Rs. 500 are circulating in market, the exact amount is not known but if we conclude from the past experience then it seems that there will be thousands of fake currency in circulation.

Pakistan is facing the problem of fake (nakli) notes from many years for which designs of currencies are changed on intervals to make it difficult for copy. State Bank of Pakistan also launched an app to help people in differentiating between fake & real currency.
In past even banks and ATM machines were found to be circulating fake currency notes.
