A 22-year-old Careem Captain Sajawal Ameer was killed recently in Islamabad. People on social media were also disappointed to read this message.

People expressed their views on Facebook and Twitter.

Why blame Careem?

Condolences for the departed sole. I’m just worried why can’t people use a facility as a facility. Why there is so much negativity in our society. Careem is used by so many people and if their services are affected by such incidents it’s going to effect everybody. Or is there some propaganda going on against them. Varan bus services faced a similar outcome.

Donation for Careem Captain?

I think Careem should have a contract with easy paisa and jazz cash so that careemers may donate some money for the family of victim. Also there must be a campaign so that ten rupees must be donated for every ride / customer for a period of one week .

Insurance is a solution?

Careem should insured all the registered vehicles, so the captain/owner wont care about loss and leave the car and save his life without resistance

Another careem captain has been murdered.@CareemPAK again I ask you to do two things:

1. Provide Insurance/trackers to all your Captains, so they aren't so worried about snatching.
2. Put CCTV in all cars like most taxis abroad have.

Second careem captain has been killed in two weeks span and nobody on the mainstream media talks about it. @CareemPAK is providing the best security to its captains but the lawlessness of this state needs to be fixed as soon as possible

I don’t understand why people are bashing Careem for providing the security to their captains.
Is it actually their fault if people kill the captain?

It’s devastating to know that another Careem captain Sajawal Ameer was killed in Islamabad yesterday. Only if the law and order of Pakistan was fair, then it wouldn’t have happened. It wouldn’t have been so easy to take someone’s life. I feel so sad to know that no life is safe.

Death of another captain in twin cities is very sad, maybe Careem should stop serving Rawalpindi/Islamabad for a while. Or allow only local drivers. Why no Uber driver ever got shot, maybe a conspiracy? .@CareemPAK .@Uber

Very sad to hear this. The safety of Captains and passengers is uppermost. Careem provides a great service and this is a loss for all of us. May he rest in peace
