British Prime Minister Telephones To Gillani; Discusses Flood Relief

ISLAMABAD, Sept 16: British Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday telephoned Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and argued with him current situation of floods in Pakistan.Gilani apprised the British prime minister that he had called off his visit to United Nations in view of the overwhelming floods and would tour the flood-hit areas to oversee relief and rescue work.

Cameron supported Prime Minister Gilani’s choice of prioritizing his people in distress.Gilani knowledgeable the British prime minister that he had directed Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar to be there the session of United Nations General Assembly.
Prime Minister Gilani said on the UNGA marginal’s, his meeting was listed with Afghan President Hamid Karzai which would have provided good occasion to discuss the current situation in the region.
