A 13-year-old British student has honored to become the youngest atomic scientist by inventing a nuclear reactor. A secondary level student, Jamie Edwards studying in Lancashire school, invented an atomic reactor which shocked the British as well as the scientists all over the world. Instead of inventing this reactor in any nuclear center Jamie has invented this reactor in his school’s laboratory.
It took a period of 5 months for this brilliant student to complete the reactor. The first person whom he informed about his invention was the head master of the school. According to a British magazine when Jamie informed his schools head master about his invention; he began to laugh at him and did not believe him.
But after confirming his invention the school authorities informed the British atomic scientists and called them to have a look at this reactor. When the team reached the school they did not believe that this reactor was invented by a 13-year-old student.
Later on a function was held in honor of Jamie Edward in which the scientists told that in Jamie’s reactor by the process of fusion 2 hydrogen atoms reacted to form a helium atom. The energy produced by this reaction can be used for making electricity.
