Karachi: Editor BBC News Urdu Service Amir Ahmed Khan spills out sheer non-sense in Express News show ‘Takraar’ aired on 22nd July, 2012 regarding the massacre of Muslims going on in Burma (Myanmar).
While speaking during the show, Khan said that the reports circulating in the social media about the Burma killings were less credible and the media organizations including BBC could not report it until the authenticity of any news gets proved.
Jamat-e-Islami leader Fareed Ahmed Paracha and senior analyst Orya Maqbool Jan were also present in the special debate program.
BBC Urdu Chief Amir Ahmed Khan continues to talk ridicule saying, “These news (regarding Muslims killings) are not worth of telecasting.”
He tried to prove his organization’s freedom of broadcasting by saying “we have highlighted Balochistan issue the most in Pakistan” that enraged social media users who termed it a plot to split Pakistan.
