Anti Terrorist Court No 01, Judge Shahid Rafique accepted the plea of the wife of former President General Pervez Musharraf, Sehba Musharraf against the confiscation of property and freezing of accounts in the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto murder case.
The court issued a notice to FIA and has summoned reply on 8th of October; meanwhile the proceeding on the pleas of co-accused former CPO Rawalpindi Saood Aziz and SP Rawal Town Khurram Shahzad to exclude from the case and the proceeding of in indiction of all other co- accused were postponed till the decision of above mentioned applications.
It is worth mentioning here that Sehba Musharraf take stance in the plea filed in the court that the form located at Chak Shahzad was gifted to her by Pervez Musharraf in 2002, while the accounts in the banks are also joint accounts, adding that on the basis of these facts no property or bank account can be confiscated or freezed relating them with Pervez Musharraf.
After the initial hearing of the case the court accepted the plea for a proper hearing and directed FIA to submit a detailed answer regarding this issue on 8th of next month. (SANA)
