LAHORE: At least seven people injured in two back-to-back blasts in different parts of the city on Saturday. The first explosion took place outside a net cafe situated in Garhi Shahu followed by another blast in Baigum Kot.
The law-enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area. The security has been high alert in the city.The law enforcement agencies specially Punjab police was criticized for Data Darbar suicide blasts where over 50 people were killed and more than 100 others injured.
The Punjab provincial government took extraordinary measures but these explosions after Data shrine could make the situation critical for the government.Lahore DCO Sajjad Bhutta confirmed first blast, saying that three people have been injured in the Crown Internet Café blast in Garhi Shau.
Lahore CCPO Aslam Tarin did not confirm the Baigum Ko blast. The police are working to trace such suspects. “I think the local network is involved in these attacks.”
