Ahsan Iqbal, Interior Minister of Pakistan criticized the Rangers for not allowing PMLN members & supporters to enter the accountability court where hearing of case against Ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was scheduled.
He threatened to resign and choose not to remain a puppet minister if orders are taken from somewhere else. Two states cannot function within one state, he added.
Interior Minister said that Islamabad chief commissioner had issued a list of members of media & PMLN who were given permission to enter the court but on Monday morning Rangers took over the building and rejected the decision of Islamabad commissioner.
Rangers deployed in the city work under the civil administration of Islamabad. I will take notice of this act because I am the Interior Minister and Rangers is a force which is subordinate to the Ministry of Interior, said Ahsan Iqbal.
He also said that investigation will be carried at a high level and disciplinary action will be taken against the command of rangers who are responsible for this unconstitutional act.
