Lahore: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) curbed the manufacturing and selling on children’ snack Slanty Chips in the province- Punjab, mentioning the reason that which is not hygienic and perilous for the children’s health.
According to local media report, The DG of Punjab Food Authority – PFA- Noor ul Amin Mengal says while talk to media reports “we don’t compromise with the health our kids by these unhygienic snacks”, he continued talking “Our future lies on the shoulders of children and the ban was imposed because these unhygienic Slanty Chips are causing different diseases such as liver and stomach, and even inducing cancer”

PFA issued a deadline to the Slanty Chips producing company that it should end its all stocks before 1st October and there would be imposed a complete ban after the given deadline. In addition, serious and legal actions will be taken if the company does not meet the deadline.
This decision is being considered one of the biggest decisions has ever been taken by the Punjab Food Authority for ensuring the health of children.
Now, this action raises a bunch of question to be considered by the other province of the country for ensuring children health and rendering hygienic foods to them.
