Pakistan will become the first country to test 5G services declared Anusha Rahman, Minister of State for Information Technology & Telecommunication. She also said that Pakistani users will be the first in Asia to adopt the 5G Technology, which will be a moment of pride for Pakistan.
She was speaking to media after the awarding ceremony of 4G Spectrum license which was sold for $295 million. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was also present at the event.
The minister was hopeful that in 2021 Pakistani users will be able to enjoy 5G network, being the first in Asia to do so. She also appreciated the 4G network in Pakistan which is better than our neighboring countries.
Anusha Rahman said Broadband internet is also spreading in Pakistan at an unexpected rate. She revealed that in the last four years the users have increased from 3.7 million to 44 million.
