Federal government launched ‘Smart City App’ for Islamabad which will help residents and outsiders to explore the city easily with an up-to-date mobile application.
The app helps users to easily get access to government department, Government utilities, law enforcement authorities & agencies. The app has many categories including:
- Metro Bus Stations
- Emergency Numbers
- Complaint handling
- Crime reporting
- Hospitals
- Pharmacy
- Restaurants
- Fuel station
At the launching Ceremony State Minister for Information Technology Anusha Rehman said this government gives priority to e-governance.
Minister further said that the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif aims to establish Smart Cities all around Pakistan and make it a digital country.
The smart app only have few features and for majority of android users this app comes with nothing new.
The application was launched by Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT), National Information Technology Board (NITB) & the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
