I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the non-serious behavior of our Parliamentarians. Punctuality is the most important characteristic of all successful People. The students, the officials, the traders and even the lay-men all have to observe punctuality in order to win glory and success in life.
Having said all this, it is with great disappointment that I have to emphasis on the fact that our parliamentarians lack this great quality. The parliamentarians are the country’s sovereign legislative body.
The National Assembly has a total of 342 members, including 60 seats reserved for women and 10 for non-Muslims. The parliamentarians are basically the law makers of the country but they fail to observe punctuality of time when the joint-sessions of the National Assembly are called.
The people of Pakistan elect these members of parliament so that they can solve the problems of their respected constituency’s in the sessions of parliament but instead their non-serious behavior speaks for itself when they come late and indulge themselves in non-serious gossips.
Once they get elected they forget about their promises to the people. They prefer their own personal problems & discuss them instead of finding solutions to the problems of their constituency.
[junkie-alert style=”white”] Because of this non-seriousness behavior & lack of punctuality of time, the sessions of parliament are often delayed for hours & in some cases for days which in turns, hinders the progress of the masses at large. [/junkie-alert]
It is such an irony that people who does not value the importance of time, are the very people that make legislation & laws for the whole nation.
The parliamentarians of the National Assembly should respect their job obligations, should be more sincere with their jobs as the law makers of the country. And they should avoid being late to the parliament.
Their more focus should on the problems of the masses instead of their own. Parliamentarians should prove to the Nation through their seriousness that they are here in the parliament to make a positive difference.
I appeal to the people at the helm of power to take notice of the lack of punctuality of time & the non-serious behavior of our parliamentarians. They should be fined or punished for being late so that they know the true value of time.
