ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Pakistan forces, General Raheel Sharif has said that Parliament will decide what the role of Pakistan should be in Yemen’s tension. While talking to journalists at the residency of the President, he said that the talks have started concerning Yemen’s tension and let’s see what would happen.
It is pertinent to mention here that joint session of senate and parliament has started yesterday in which the role of Pakistan in the tense situation of Yemen is being considered. The joint session will decide whether Pakistan will join the Arab alliance against Houthi tribes of Yemen.
He said the Operation Zarb-i-Azb was going in the right direction and would be completed soon. According to a news agency, General Raheel Sharif appreciated Pakistan Ordinance Factory for making effective weapons for Army during Operation Zarb-i-Azb against terrorists.
While addressing to the administration of POF, Army chief said that the defense equipment industry was the basic need in order to maintain strategic capability of armed forces so that the defense of the country could be made invincibly.
According to ISPR, General Raheel Sharif praised the dedication of POF’s administration. He emphasized on self-sufficiency, technical up gradation and increase in defense production. The chairman of POF on the occasion informed General Raheel about expansion plans of the factory.
