Nabil Ahmad Khan Gabol is a political leader from Karachi, Pakistan. He has worked as a minister for the Federal Cabinet of Pakistan. Among his achievements is the inauguration of the Gwardar Port in December 2008. He will be in his third term as the member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He can be followed on his twitter account, twitter.com/Nabilgabol.
Gabol belongs to a powerful tribe. His own family is recognized as landowners and politicians. His other brothers are also notable businessmen, although they are not part of politics. He enjoys being with his tribe along with having a strong desire to continue the Gabol political dynasty started by his grandfather in 1927. Gabol’s grandfather was the first Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly and twice mayor of Karachi.
Gabol had resigned from his position as the Federal Minister in the Cabinet of Pakistan after a conflict with the regime of Asif Ali Zardari over target killings in Karachi. The failure of the government to address this issue further worsens the situation and on this context he decided to resign from the office. On 17 March 2013, Gabol left PPP and joined MQM, declaring that PPP is no longer the party of Benazir Bhutto or Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
