BlueStacks App Player allows the users to run their favourite Android apps on their Windows or Mac OS X devices. The Cloud Connect feature makes it easy to push apps from your android device to the BlueStacks and vice versa. The program can be downloaded easily.The following tutorial will help you to set up BlueStacks and run its features.
- First download BlueStacks app player for Windows, Mac OSX or Android operating system. While downloading the user will only have to decide whether to allow the program to make notifications as well as the option to have Blue Stacks Spotlight which holds daily app.
- The BlueStacks will boot up to its Home Screen after installation, where you can look up apps in ‘Top Charts’, search apps and access settings. But you will also need to set up access to the Google Play Store and link a Google Account with BlueStacks.
- To get access to the Google Play Store and download apps, you need to link the Google account. Go to my apps and click sync setup. The wizard interface will appear that will guide you through the process. You will either need to either create a Google account or sign in with your existing one.
- Download cloud connect for your android device and then go to settings buttons on BlueStacks and click on ‘Cloud Connect’. This app will allow you to push apps from your android device to BlueStacks. In case of an android phone, enter email address to receive instructions via email about connecting your phone to BlueStacks. The email will contain a PIN Number to connect cloud connect app.
- To sync apps to and from Android devices, you just need to use the built in app search to search for and install apps from Google Play or Amazon. To access the built in app market of BlueStacks, you need to go through the App Search Button. Type in the name of the app you’re looking for, and it will search Amazon and Google Play for matches. The option for install apps from any of the stores will be given to you. Navigate through the store and make use of the search features. The newly installed app should be ready to run once you return to your Home Screen.
- In case of touch screen rig or a windows 8 tablet, you will need a way to approximate the pinch to zoom as well as tilt controls.

Tilt controls: Z or X to simulate tilting a device left or right
The use of gamepad controls for many apps is supported by BlueStacks. The BlueStacks will inform you if a specific app supports a controller.
