Karachi: Wateen Telecom has been selected by the Civil Aviation Authority as the exclusive Wi-Fi provider for this project. Wi-Fi services across all the major international airports in Pakistan will be provided by Wateen, who will manage and operate these services as well. These services were inaugurated by the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Group Chairman Sheikh Mohammad bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
All passengers will be provided access to the internet through these facilities, which will allow them a quick and a easy access to the high speed internet services. A five yea agreement has been signed between the Civil Aviation Authority and Wateen Telecom, which will allow millions of passengers to use the internet while waiting in the airport.
Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Groups stated during the ceremony organized for the signing of the agreement that their main commitment was to bring the international airport of Pakistan in line with the standards of the international airports around the world. The ceremony to sign the agreement was held at the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport Karachi on Tuesday.
