Karachi: Pakistan slips down to the 6th position after the T20 World Cup 2012 in ICC Rankings for Twenty20 Internationals. According to the reports, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the new rankings of the teams which participated in the mega tournament of T20 World Cup.
The details show that West Indies played 16 matches and earned 1,450 points this year and got 2nd position in the rankings whereas, Sri Lanka is at the top with 1524 points.
India, England and South Africa are on third, fourth and fifth in the new rankings. West Indies received the title of T20 World Champions for the first time since this format of cricket has started. In an interview the West Indies skipper Darreny Sammy said that this is just the start, we will go far and overcome other championships.
