Karachi: Pakistani students continues to create marvel, proving their geniosity, supermacy and brilliance over thestudents around around the world as four students of the Dawood Public School, Karachi were declared ‘high achievers’ in the International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition, local Enlglish daily reported Saturday.
According to the reports, Ayesha Rizwan bagged first position in level seven and was awarded a gold medal along with a cash prize of Rs10,000.
Javeria Jawaid won a silver medal in level nine while Manal Farruk and Rayal Ramesh each won a bronze medal in level four.
Students from across the country participated in the competition which is held around the world and provides students a chance to test their mathematical skills, said the school’s administration.
The International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition was first held in 1991 in France and has been held in Pakistan since 2005 under Pakistan Kangaroo Commission.
Earlier, four teams of talented Pakistani students bagged One Silver, Four Bronze Medals and Two Honorable Mentions in the 44th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) held in United States, 43rd International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Estonia, 23rd International Biology Olympiad (IBO) in Singapore and 53rd International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Argentina.
