A teenager boy of Sydenham Nicholas Pearton was chased and beaten by seven teenagers in Last May. All the seven teenagers who were wearing school uniforms at that time have been arrested.
During the trial, the court was informed that Nicholas was caught up in a fight between two gangs following a row at school earlier in the day.
All the seven teenagers were have been given custodial sentences totalling 74 years.
Dale Green (age 17) has given a minimum sentence of 15 years. Lamarr Gordon (age 17) has been sentenced for 14 years. Joseph Appiah (age 16) has been given 12 years in sentence.
Terell Clement (age 18) was jailed for 10 years, Claude Gaha (age 17) and Demar Brown (age 16) were jailed for eight years and Edward Conteh (age 17) has been sentenced for seven years.
Gordon’s older brother, Sheldon Gordon (age 23) was also given a 12-month sentence for hiding blood-stained clothes.
