Islamabad: Five Pakistani Universities have managed to find a place among top 300 Asian universities of the world. It includes National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Karachi University, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Agha Khan University, and the Lahore University.
The ranking survey was carried out by Quacquarelli Symonds, UK, which is the world’s most prestigious ranking agency.
The presence of Pakistani Universities among the Top 300 Asian Universities is the sign of amount of the hard work and struggle put in by the faculty and management of these universities and constant support of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
It is worth mentioning here that investment in higher education in Pakistan has reaped dividends as Pakistani Universities have produced 3,280 PhDs in the last nine years which is a bigger number compared with 3,000 PhDs produced in the initial 55 years in the country’s history.
