It was 18th April 1986, when Pakistan star Javed Miandad hit a six of last ball of Indian Chetan Sharma in Sharjah.Miandad ‘SIX’ is one of most memorable six of cricket history. Pakistan won that match against India by 1 wicket and also won Austral-Asia Cup – final.
It was Tauseef Ahmed who took single of the second last ball and gave the chance to Miandad who successfully hit six over midwicket boundary. Javed Miandad scored unbeaten century in that match.

Batsmen of Miandad’s caliber are born only once in a rare while. He remains head and shoulders above any other Pakistani batsman in terms of dependability, consistency, and innovation (e.g. running between the wickets and scoring via singles in ODIs). India had dominated Pakistan in ODIs for some time when Javed broke that spell with his chakka, and ushered in an era that led to 5-1 defeat for India at home, several trophies at Sharjah and finally WC 92 at Melbourne.
