Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi revealed that PMLN will complete its term and the next elections will be held on 15th July 2018.
According to the sources from Election Commission of Pakistan there has been no discussion within Election Commission for the final date of 2018 elections. According to the constitution Election Commission of Pakistan sends a summary to the President who then approves and declares the date of next Election.
The tenure of the current government will be completed on 1st June 2018 and Election Commission is required to successfully hold the elections within 60 days. It means that 2018 Elections will be held on 1st August.
The date announced by Prime Minister gives Election Commission just 45 days and it is being said that 45 days will be insufficient to complete the preparations for the next elections.
If you want a fair free election in 2018 you need a fair free election commission but unfortunately …….

Election Commission can hold elections on any date of July 2018, but it needs at least 21 days after the final list of candidates is prepared to print the ballot papers from Printing Corporation of Pakistan.
It is being said that the date announced was not the decision of the current PM rather the decision came from the ruling party. Some believe that the decision was made after discussions of ruling family.
