Karachi: Due to threats at Jinnah International Airport the administration has to think for safety of passengers. So, for the travelers and for the family members of travelers the administration is thinking to convert Parking area into Drop line.
On 9th June 2014 militants attacked Jinnah International Airport, Karachi in which 28 people lost their life. Security threats are again coming to Jinnah International Airport so Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Airport Security Forces (ASF) has to work for the security provisions.
According to reports after the completion of the said project the passengers who are going to use domestic or international flight will directly go from parking area to departure lodges. So for the passengers there will be lifts at the both sides of the fast food centre which is loacated at parking area.
There will be four lifts, two for domestic use and two for international use. All the four lifts in the form of tunnels type bridges will connect to level no 2.
[junkie-alert style=”white”]The current drop line present on the level no 2 bridge will only be used by VVIPS.[/junkie-alert]
On basis of Build–operate–transfer (BOT) it’s working papers will shortly be presented to authorities.
In 2014 Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced that only one person will be allowed to enter the airport to accompany passengers at the airport. This decision was taken because of security issues. However it is not implemented properly.
