A new era of digital communication has been initiated in Pakistan as Zong officially launched its 4G LTE services during a ceremony in the Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi, becoming Pakistan’s first ever 4G LTE service provider. With this launch Pakistan becomes part of the 76 countries that have LTE networks.
Zong will be initially launching its services in seven cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad, Quetta and Peshawar. The Zong CEO of ChinaTel Pakistan also announced that Zong will be expanding their 3G and 2G networks with an injection of approximately 1 Billion dollars over the next three to four years.
Consumers have been eagerly awaiting the launch of 4G to be able to use the latest technology in mobile communication. There had been concerns over the price of data packages but Zong 4G internet packages have something on offer for all kinds of users. Zong is offering 5 packages for 4G users.
Here are the following packages:
- Monthly Premium 2GB package which will cost Rs 350 per month
- Monthly Premium 4GB which will cost Rs 650 per month
- Monthly Premium 10 Gb for Rs 1500 per month
- Monthly Premium 20 GB and 30 GB which will cost Rs 2500 and Rs 3500 per month respectively
Users will have to purchase Zongs 4G enabled SIMS to be able to use the facility which will be available at customer care centres from next week.
