Zardari Speaks About The Killing Of Benazir Bhutto

During a recent interview Ex-President Zardari talked about the assassination of late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. He said that I did my best to complete the investigation of that case.

He rejected all the allegations that are made against him including the statement that Benazir came out of the bomb proof vehicle on the request of Zardari. He also rejected the statement of retired General Musharraf who once said that if Benazir remained in the vehicle she would have survived the attack.

He said that if the government knew that there was a threat and the whole area was tightly secured than how the attacker was able to come so near to the ex-prime minister? The real enemy of Benazir Bhutto & Democracy was some generals who were opposed to democracy and a free government, he added.

Benazir Bhutto was assassinated onĀ  27th December 2007 when after speaking to a election rally terrorists fired bullets at her. The fire was followed by a bomb blast which killed
