Bargad in collaboration with Oxfam Pakistan and Bahria University held a seminar in Karachi campus entitled Youth for SDGs.
The seminar was moderated by Ms Salma Butt and panelists included professors and researchers from Bahria University and other renowned institutes such as:
- Dr Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Dean Management Sciences of Bahria University
- Amir Feroz Shamsi, Professor at PAF- KIET
- Mansoor Zakir, Assistant Professor Bahria University
- Essa Khan, Assistant Professor Management Sciences Department Bahria University
- Saima Jasam, Development Consultant and Researcher
More than 400 students participated in the seminar which was organized to create awareness among youth on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are set by UN.

These SDGs include 17 goals which each UN member, including Pakistan are required to follow while setting government agendas. These 17 goals are:
- No Poverty
- Zero Hunger
- Good Health and Well-being
- Quality Education
- Gender Equality
- Clean Water and Sanitation
- Affordable and Clean Energy
- Decent Work and Economic Growth
- Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- Reduced Inequality
- Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Responsible Consumption and Production
- Climate Action
- Life Below Water
- Life on Land
- Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
- Partnerships to achieve the Goal

Students participated with the panel after their speech on topics such as Gender Equality and Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions. This was the 10th Seminar by Bargad during its Nation Campaign on Youth For SDGs under which seminars will be held in 12 universities of Pakistan.
