Karachi: The International Cricket Council have showed its concerns over the name of team comprising of International cricketers touring Pakistan for two exhibition matches in the metropolis this weekend. ICC has told the Pakistan Cricket Board that a team of international players cannot call itself a World XI.
ICC spokesman Samiul Hasan while talking to The Associated Press told in a text message that it “doesn’t permit the names of World or World XI for exhibition matches” and a letter has been sent to the PCB on Wednesday to look into this matter.
The sources say that now the World Eleven lead by Sanath Jayasuria will be called as ‘International World Eleven’ that is going to play two matches against Pakistan All Stars side on Saturday (October 20)and Sunday (October 21).
The tickets for these enthralling T20 matches are available at different cricket grounds in Karachi at the rates of Rs. 30, Rs. 300 and Rs. 500.
