We are living in a world where people have different faiths and as a Muslim we must respect all other faiths but respect doesn’t mean that you have to compromise your own faith in order to make others happy. The 25th December is coming and the Christians will celebrate this day as they believe that Jesus Christ (Son of God) was born on this day and as a Muslim we should not wish the Christians Merry Christmas because in Islam, associating partners with God is a Shirk and how can a Muslim take part in the Shirk by wishing Marry Christmas?
Some may say that we wish it just to make our Non-Muslim friends happy but one may ask that who is more important to us God or the friends? We should also not to forget that: Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) never wished Christmas and Ulema have a consensus on not to wish it. Silence is better than speaking evil.
