ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has said that we are desirous to have better relationships with all the countries including India, adding that we want normal relationships with India on the basis of equality and mutual respect.
Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit, deployed in India, met Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad today and informed him about the relations between Pakistan and India. The premier said that India was an important country for Pakistan and we wanted better relationships with all the countries.
Nawaz Sharif said that it was necessary to resolve Kashmir issue and other unsolved issues between both the countries. He further said that it was essential to resolve such issues and disputes in order to bring peace to the region.
According to sources, Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit during his meeting with Nawaz Sharif informed him about the recent visit of US President Barack Obama to India.
