Washington: Nabeela 9 year old Waziristan young girl presented herself in Congress to question the U.S. authorities the reason for killing her grand mother. She was accompanied by her father and brother for the journey from Waziristan to Washington.
Last year, on the Holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha the deceased was killed to death, blown into pieces while she engaged in preparing dresses for her grand children. The deadly drone strike had resulted in her death.
It was for the first time ever that the ‘drone’ victims have taken it to the U.S. territory demanding their explanation for their irreparable loss. Rep. Alan Grayson had assisted the young girl to speak to the U.S. administration through the organized briefing.
A dark patch, a grave dug filled as the drone hit the place to where ‘victim’ sat. Rafiq-ur-Rehman, who is a school teacher took upon the courage to held accountability by the U.S. administrations and address the miseries bear by the people residing in the hilly area of Balochistan.
It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan and U.S. governments have often declined to accept the transparency of the deadly attacks that have affected massive citizens in the past decade.
It remains a question if Nabeela’s voice is given equal leverage as that enjoyed by Malala or she remains suppressed. Let’s see!
