Karachi: A Pakistani student has presented way for the disposal of organic waste which can also be used to control environmental pollution to a great extent. Pakistani student, Noor Mehdi belonging from Karachi is doing M.sc from Liverpool University. In her thesis report she has presented a new way for the betterment of agriculture using organic waste.
Noor came to Pakistan and have conduct a survey with Farhan Anwar’s organization and has concluded that if waste is being collected from all the cities it can be used for making fertilizer which can be used for farming purpose. This is not only environment friendly but will also be beneficial l to the city government and municipal organizations.
According to report of Global Partnership for Solid Waste Management, it is said that the waste in our country is not being disposed properly.
Executive Director of Urban Development and Environmental Protection, Farhan Anwar said that Noor’s research can prove helpful in removing waste from our cities and we can start from local level and also suggested to use waste for farming purpose. As organic waste is not being recycled and only non organic waste is being recycled.
