Karachi: Former Pakistani Cricketer and Captain Wasim Akram will soon amuse his fans and cricket lovers. Talking to the media, the dashing left handed all-rounder said that he will take part in the coming Gulf Super Sixes Tournament taking place in Dubai. People of Dubai are cricket loving, he added.
The great Pakistani all-rounder possesses a sensational record of cricket. Akram started his career as a professional international cricketer in 1985. He achieved a world record of 502 one day wickets in 365 matches and 414 wickets in test matches. He declared his test retirement in 2001 whereas the one day retirement in 2003.
Players from 8 international teams will be the part of the contest. The tournament will remain continue for two weeks. Wasim Akram and Imran Nazir will participate in the event from Pakistan. According to the reports Sanath Jayasuria and Muralitharan will take part in the contest from Sri Lanka
