WAPDA has disconnected the electricity connections of Pakistan Railway stations of Sargodha Division on non-payment of 70 Lac dues on Sunday.
WAPDA has disconnected 32 railway stations including Sargodha, Bhalwal, Phalarwan, Mianwal, Kundian, Joharabad, Khushab, Malikwal. On the other side the connections of Sargodha Railway colony also have been disconnected and the residents of the colony are facing serious problems.
Employees of railway living in colony have stated that the bills of electricity have already been cut from their salaries but their connections have been disconnected.
Meanwhile President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the meeting of Railway officials at Presidency in Islamabad today (Monday) to review the railway crisis.
Sources told that meeting would review the 10.5 billion rupees bailout package and shortage of railway engines.
