Pakistan film Waar which is in news from the last week or so has touched a new milestone as the fim has crossed 100 million Rupees mark. The film has reached this milestone in a record time and no film ever from Lollywood, Bollywood and Hollywood has reached 100 million rupees mark in this short span of time.
It is also a co-incidence that Shaan’s father directional film ZERQA was released on the 16th October 1969. After exactly 44 years later Shaan starter Waar has released on 16th October 2013. The film is liked by most of the Pakistanis and they believe that the film has all the qualities of Bollywood and even Hollywood movies.
However one blog of leading English newspaper of Pakistan stated that Super-Hit’ (or ‘Blockbuster’) film is should earn at least 250 per cent of its initial investment for its producer. The blog further stated that a ‘Hit’ film is one that doubles the investment of its producers.
According to Waar producers the film cost around 15-20 crore rupees therefore it become Hit or Super Hit it should do a business of 110 crore and 145 crore respectively. Some critics have commented that Waar is much better than many Indian films.
