Dear Journalist Brothers & Authorities,
I am writing here about “Visa Ban” issue in Kuwait for Pakistani families. We are trying to contact with Pakistani authorities here in Kuwait & as well as in Pakistan regarding this.
I am personally entering into another defining moment – to continue or to seek alternatives under the prevalent visa ban situations. May be you are not directly affected with the visa ban and I pray that you would not be affected with such stupid ban in near future or thereafter but think of those who have been significantly affected or are being affected or may be getting affected shortly. I would like to share instances where people have affected:
1. Babies delivered in Pakistan cannot see their fathers or feel the love and affection of their fathers here in Kuwait as they cannot travel to Kuwait;
2. Pregnant women requiring assistance cannot seek any further assistance from Pakistan. Those who can travel are simply avoiding as they would not be able to continue their normal life as their expected new born would not be granted visa;
3. Married couples are forced to live apart as their hubbies cannot just enter into immediate alternating circumstances;
4. Boys leaving for marriages back in Pakistan have a constant fear that they would have to fly back alone leaving their newlywed wife in a completely new environment back at their home;
5. Children ready to be admitted in schools cannot be admitted as their parents have not yet decided to bear a sunk cost of Rs 15-20 K on account of admission fees back in Pakistan;
6. Dependant parents who in any case get visa for three months only cannot get support from their sons living in Kuwait;
7. The worst problem is for those whose wages may be less able to tolerate his family spent here, or because of personal problems with his family cannot live in Kuwait. In these circumstances, their families came on visit visa during summer vacation and spend some time together. Due to visa banned they cannot call their families in Kuwait.
8. A divorce case has been filed as families of the newly wedded couple (wedded in April) developed disputes just because of visa ban.
Please do whatever you can do in this respect. Please remember these are defining moments not only for me but for all those who are being affected or would be affected if it continues for a longer period.
