USA and Britain government have taken another controversial step by banning electronic items other than small smartphones from being carried with passengers in their cabin luggage.
The ban came after USA intelligence said it received reports based on evaluated intelligence that terrorists are planning to carry explosives through such electronic devices.
But these devices such as tablets, laptops, smartphones which are more than 16cm in length will be allowed to be carried through checked baggage. Six Muslim countries were affected by the ban. The countries include:
1) Egypt
2) Jordan
3) Lebanon
4) Saudi Arabia
5) Turkey
6) Tunisia
They also banned 10 international airports which includes the busiest airport of the world:
1) Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey
2) Mohammed V International, Casablanca, Morocco
3) Cairo International Airport, Egypt
4) Queen Alia International, Amman, Jordan
5) Kuwait International Airport
6) King Abdulaziz International, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
7) King Khalid International, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
8) Hamad International, Doha, Qatar
9) Abu Dhabi International, United Arab Emirates
10) Dubai International, United Arab Emirates
