USA was keeping an eye on Pakistani cellular customers through its National Security Agency (NSA) which infiltrated Pakistani cellular companies and stole data to use for its agency purposes.
The data was earlier released by a hacking group called ShadowBrokers which said it was a protest against the recent USA administration under Donald Trump.
USA spy agency used different techniques to have access to servers of Pakistani mobile networks. This was further confirmed by Wiki leaks in a tweet in which they stated “Hundreds of NSA cyber weapons variants publicly released including code showing hacking of Pakistan mobile system.”
The authenticity of the tools which was used to covertly infect computers was confirmed by whistleblower Edward Snowden, previously he was NSA contractor. Last year Snowden leaks confirmed how NSA infiltrated Pakistan National Telecommunications Corporations to spy on government and military officials.
The latest release is just another part of the releases which revealed how USA was involved in spying and espionage not only in USA but also in Middle East & Asia. Last month they released documents which showed how CIA used its cyber weapon arsenal.
