US newspaper Boston Globe has said that US supply in Afghanistan is more dependent on Uzbekistan. According to this paper CIA has silently shifted drone operation from Pakistan to Afghanistan in April 2011.The paper also suggested Obama administration to improve strife relations with Pakistan.
Boston Globe in one of its editorial wrote that there is a huge anger among Pakistanis after the last week NATO cross boarder attack on Pakistani check post in Mohmand Agency which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers. The paper says that the ban on foreign news channels in Pakistan, boycott of Bonn Conference over the future of Afghanistan, vacation of Shamsi Airbase and the suspension of NATO route supply are the clear indications of anger in Pakistani nation.
The paper said that the long strife relations between US and Pak are touching in its crucial phase and it is clear that Pak and US are dependent on each other to counter insurgency in Afghanistan as well as in the tribal belt of Pakistan.
The paper suggested the Obama administration to restore the tense relations with Pakistan, though US suspension with Pakistan is important after the killing of Osama Bin Laden and her relations with the militants.
The Boston Globe further wrote that the majority of US politicians are demanding to cut Pakistani aid. In these circumstances Obama administration must reveal that if US suspends relations with Pakistan then what would be the impact over US. The paper further said that if Pakistan creates problems for US in Afghanistan then it would not be good for the interest of the both countries.
