WASHINGTON: Deputy Spokesman of US State Department Mark Toner has said that there is no surety of Tashqain being Pakistani. He said that we are not sure whether Tashqain, the woman who was accused of being involved in firing incident in California was from Pakistan.
During a press conference in Washington, Mark Toner said that Tashqain Malik got visa from Pakistan however, we don’t know in what year she got the visa. He said that USA doesn’t keep eyes on the journey of its citizens to foreign countries. He added that Tashqain was living in USA on “K-One” Visa. He thought she was from Pakistan.
Earlier, Hassam Elvish, executive director of Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Los Angeles talked of Tashqain’s nationality that she used to live in Saudi Arabia from where she came to USA. He added that the family of Rizwan Farooq basically belonged to South Asia.
He claimed about Tashqain and Rizwan Farooq that both got married two years ago whereas they had a six-month-baby girl. It is pertinent to mention here that a firing incident had taken place in San Bernardino, the city of California State, USA where a ceremony was going on in the center of disabled persons. 14 people were killed and 17 were injured in the incident.
