WASHINGTON: The US government has stated that the USA will not favour any unconstitutional change in Pakistan, the USA favours constitutional and electoral process in Pakistan and democratic process must be followed in Pakistan. According to the US State Department, Nawaz Sharif has been elected to be the Prime Minister of Pakistan for 5 years and he cannot be demanded to resign. The USA is working along with Pakistan for democracy.
The US State Department has further stated that America is seeing what is happening in Pakistan, the parties or rivals involved in protests should avoid any violence, adding that the condition of Pakistan cannot be called critical.
The US State Department has added that there is a lot of capacity for political dialogues and it should stay peaceful. America favours constitutional and electoral process in Pakistan.
On the other hand, the lawyers across the country have gone on strike against Azadi and Revolutionary March, being held in Islamabad and the courts have been boycotted today. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association announced that the lawyers would strike across the country today.
The lawyers in Baluchistan including Quetta have boycotted the courts’ proceedings on the appeal of Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Bar Council. The lawyers of the district bar council in Muzaffargarh struck against the sits-in, being held in Islamabad whereas in Khairpur, the lawyers boycotted the courts’ proceedings. Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar announced that the lawyers would not present in courts across the country.
